Cruises, Reef Tours & Sailing

One of the best ways to discover the Great Barrier Reef and Port Douglas is by taking a cruise around Australia’s most beautiful and scenic reef. There is a variety of cruise types and vessels to choose from – you can sail away on board a yacht or motor away on a large cruiser. Most day tours will give you the opportunity to explore some of the islands, snorkel the reefs and provide food and drink.

You can also hire a charter so you can explore the waters at your own pace. There’s no feeling quite like mooring in your own private cove and waking up to the soft lolling of the azure waters. You can choose to bareboat and captain yourself or choose to hire a crew for a more luxurious feel.

We have some fantastic cruises ready to book below!

Daintree River Sunset Cruise

More InfoAs the wind tends to drop late in the afternoon, you can observe some of the birds out and about looking for that last meal of the day, or flying down to the water bathing, before retiring for the night.

Watching hundreds of Cattle Egrets flying low over the water on their way down river to roost for the night, and the fragrance of some of the Native rainforest tree species flowering, (especially Ylang Ylang, Cananga odorata which tends to disperse their perfume late evening) all add to the river experience.
